Today, you are a member of… Chance, Probability, Contingency, Randomness

Did you know, Members, that there is no ‘perfect 7th’ in music theory. Sure, you got your perfect redundant unisons, perfect regal octavian 8ths, those work horses of perfect, the 3rds and 5ths, and the sometimes perfect, sometimes not, 4th. But really, intervals are just pitches and math, and people are what try to make them perfect -as in consonant and pleasing – by fiddling with tuning. Point is, in that sense, it matters not if in the coming week your 7th is perfect, but it sure sounds good if it’s lucky.
