Today, you are a member of… Amateur Hour

Consider Mr. Takao Kobayashi, amateur astronomer. On January 30th and 31st, 1997, using patience and a charge-coupled device, he looked up at the starry night, captured a random array of photons, turned them into electrical charges, viewed the digital results and within the faint magnitudes, espied himself a wiley celestial object, later established to be a undiscovered comet that now goes by the moniker P/1997 B1 (Kobayashi). This week Members, that which is discoverable will shy from slicked-up professionals and jaded bureaucrats alike, but will present itself easily if you take a Kobayashian approach.
