There something toilsome about the phrase hammer away, members, as if to indicate that going at a problem long enough and hard enough never really gives you a leg up on the odds. Sure you may bang something into saleble form, but there’s always a 50/50 chance that its actually you yourself getting forged but good. Bets are with April being the cruelest month and all, your week already has that tone of a blacksmith raging against an anvil. And yet as members, you are never left without proper edification, like the power of a single word to change everything. Simply decide to hammer oninstead of away. Lose the weighty tools, free up your fretting hand and go legato on their asses. Revel in metal, but certainly not the metal of the machine. That way when faced with a tough riff (or tough crowd) you’ll have the staying power to shred like the Flying V Colossus of Rhodes.
